Job Description
Our company is seeking a talented and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other peripherals. You will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure that our employees have the tools and resources they need to do their jobs effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to employees for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and applications.
- Manage user accounts, security settings, and access controls.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.
- Work with other IT professionals to ensure that desktop support processes and procedures are documented and followed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Several years of experience providing technical support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other desktop management tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends.
